Position
Native English Speaker English Language Instructor
Duration - One year (52 weeks)
Remuneration
1st Grade (level 1)
Masters degree having teaching experience of 2 years or more in authorized institutions (or teaching experience of 100 weeks or more in EPIK)
Or
Bachelors degree and Certified teacher (primary or secondary school) having teaching experience of 2 years or more (or teaching experience of 100 weeks or more in EPIK)
Or
Bachelors degree and TESOL/TEFL certificate (100 hours or more course) having teaching experience of 2 years or more in authorized institution (or teaching experience of 100 weeks or more in EPIK)
Salary = W2, 200,000 Korean Won per month (Approximate exchange = $NZ 3,021.00)
2nd Grade (Level 2)
Bachelors degree having teaching experience of 1 year or more in authorized institution( or teaching experience of 50 weeks or more in EPIK)
Or
Bachelors degree and Certified teacher (primary or secondary school)
Or
Bachelors degree and English teacher having TESOL/TEFL certificate (100 hours or more) or similar certificate
Or
Masters degree
Salary = W1, 900,000 Korean Won per month (Approximate exchange = $NZ 2,609.00)
3rd Grade (Level 3)
Bachelors degree
Salary = W1, 700,000 Korean Won per month (Approximate exchange = $NZ 2,334.00)
(Current exchange rate of 728 Won = 1 NZD)
NOTE 1: This may change as per exchange rate fluctuations.
NOTE 2: No tax is withdrawn from monthly amount in the first year of employment.
NOTE 3: In addition to the above salary, EPIK trainer working in CNOE region will be paid W100,000 Korean Won per month more.
NOTE 4: The trainer having worked one full year will be paid one month salary additionally and airfare for visiting his/her home country.
NOTE 5: The 1st grade trainer having worked for 2 years or more in CNOE region will be paid W200,000 Korean Won per month in addition to monthly salary.
NOTE 6: Trainer will be paid one time settlement allowance of W300,000 Korean Won ,when he/she first arrives in Korea.
Work hours:
8 hours per day, 5 days per week
Class instruction time = 22 hours per week
Work Place:
ChoongchongNam-Do Provincial Office of Education schools, training centre or any other educational institute located in ChoongchongNam-Do city/province
Or
Incheon city, primary, middle and high schools
Nature of Duties
To assist Korean teachers with their English classes and /or jointly conduct English classes
To prepare teaching materials for English classes
To assist with the development of teaching materials related to English language education
To assist with activities related to English language education and other extracurricular activities within the place of employment
To conduct English conversational classes / courses for Korean teachers and students
To perform other duties as designated by the employer
You will be provided with:
Reimbursement for airfares
Furnished accommodation (a small apartment)
50% of health insurance costs
One month bonus after 12 months work

Applications received @ CLTi and CV and supporting documentation (qualifications etc.) collated
Applications accepted / not accepted.
Phone interview; contracts and visa application guidelines sent to applicants
Contracts accepted and visa applications sent to Korean Embassy Wellington.
Air tickets purchased for Incheon, Seoul, Korea.
